The Kids and Teen Clinics at Stein Elementary and Jefferson High Schools provide care for children ages birth to 18 years.

The School-based Health Clinics of MCPN provide: immunizations; preventive medical care and sports physicals; substance abuse and violence prevention counseling; asthma treatment; tobacco cessation and prevention programs; and acute medical care, behavioral and/or mental health care.

Both school-based clinics participate in the Asthma Collaborative with the Bureau of Primary Health Care. This participation yields better Asthma management for their patients resulting in better outcomes: fewer days with asthma symptoms and fewer missed school days. In response to the obesity problem, the health education component of the clinics created, implemented and facilitates an exercise and healthy eating program in the schools. This program "Health Nuts" is an effective tool in combating the obesity problem in youth. The program is being assessed for the feasibility of implementation in elementary schools district wide. We are very proud of the work we do here and our patients demonstrate that.

"This clinic is awesome! They are great with our kids. It’s been a huge blessing."
"We are always very happy with our care here. Great Job!!!"
"Siempre me atienden bien y son muy amables."

The clinics are a joint project of Metro Community Provider Network, Jefferson County Public Schools, and Jefferson Center for Mental Health.
