Metro Community Provider Network Funding Streams
MCPN is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization; this designation allows all our revenue to be put towards meeting our mission. All donations are tax exempt.
MCPN is a Federally Qualified Health Center eligible for funding from the U.S. Public Health Service. We receive funding from a variety of sources: approximately 41% is generated from billable insurance and patient visits; 30% from federal grants; and 29% from non-federal grants and contracts. The income levels of 76% of MCPN patients are at or below poverty level and with respect to ethnicity: 26% are Caucasian, 49% Hispanic, 10% African American, 3% Asian/Pacific Islander, and 12% unknown. In fiscal year 2006 MCPN provided health and medical related services to approximately 37,400 patients, which translates to over 244,300 visits to our community health centers.
A $20 million budget supports 225+ employees throughout the network.
